New Moon in Taurus 4/27/2025 12:31 PDT

A New Moon in Taurus is typically a wonderful time for planting all kinds of “seeds.”

The sign of Taurus is ruled by sensual Venus and the quality of the expression is one of fertility, and from a positive side- abundance and “flowering.” However, nothing exists in a vacuum and this New Moon is crossed by a challenging Mars/Pluto Opposition- something we’ve been dealing for a while thanks to Mars Retrograde. Venus as dispositor is also conjoined with Saturn and our North Node of the Moon.

This can feel a bit as if our needs and wants- from what we see as essential to our happiness, to our desires and dreams, all are now up against some major obstacles.

 Plans we wish to begin may be delayed or somehow change, resources dry up or we find we have them in short amount. We may even be unable to do what we want because of “fighting” within organizations or situations.  

Mars represents our will, our ability to get what we want- and this is challenged by Pluto. This is a David vs Goliath or even Me vs Collective vibe. Leo and Aquarius showcase the Subjective vs Objective, and honestly, in this dilemma Pluto rules.

Sometimes we need to know when it is most effective to push ahead and when it is fruitless to waste our energy “shouting to the wind.” Mars and Pluto square the New Moon/Sun which opposes Asteroid Vesta and Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio, the Moon’s apogee. This relates to any disenfranchised anger we hold inside- regarding our sacred needs and resources.

In the chart, a Grand Cross appears which is a major configuration symbolically reflecting the tension and conflict present in the time. However, as this is STILL our only New Moon in Taurus- the lunation time is still ripe for New Moon Wishing and Manifestation works.

Don’t expect immediate results but steel your resolve to continue to believe in and DO what you think is right.
