How can I stop worrying about money, my health and the future?
Dear Worrier,
Thank for you for providing your birthday, time, and place. This gives a deeper understanding of some of the reasons for the situation you are in, as well as clues about how and when you can improve it. Before I get into some of your Astrology, I want to quote Yvonne:
“Ordinary Life is Complicated! Money, health, emotional support systems, a sense of meaning, purpose- these are important, part of things one accepts without necessarily thinking as needs. When any one of these is changed, threatened, or actually gone (whether permanent or temporary) the corresponding shock echoes throughout the rest of the life system. Everything from then on comes up for question; nothing appears stable, the version of the world you call “reality” has shown its weakness.
The adage “Consider the uses of Adversity” comes into play. If one develops a sense of meaning and purpose based on an inner reality, then gains and losses in the outer one are just part of an ever-changing script, a change of scene in the Play of Life. Adversity can cause one to examine and discard values that have no current use in our new and changing circumstances. Strength of mind results, and ideas like this can have survival factors that allow us to function and thrive in any environment.”

Scorpio is the investigator, deeply probing between the lines, seeking to see what is beneath or behind things. Fixed, obsessive or dogged at times, your spidey senses may always be tingling. Yvonne was the Queen of inner discipline. She taught me to stay still amidst the mystery of life by “Taking Back Your Mind.” To use affirmations, chants, or visualizations when negative, incessant, or obsessive thoughts were problematic. Worry without reason can fall into this category. It’s a “mind trip” that does not often have basis in “ordinary reality.”
A practice of deep breathing, Zen mindfulness, attention to how thoughts can move, like wind through us, these are just a few of the ways we can “re-program” our mind to stop the incessant chatter of worry or negativity.
Awareness is the start. Action is the first step. Discipline or consistent application of reframing ideas about life, turning thoughts around or replacing them will be the best course.
