It’s a fiery Supermoon amid an agitated atmosphere of natural disasters, U.S Election insanity and horrible wars- and the Astrology of the Full Moon describes, correlates, truly reflects this time.
It is amazing how the planets positions and relationship to each other and our Earth point out” the human experience. This is collective phenomena; we all experience it. However, all things born in time carry the quality of that time in their makeup. This means that the closer your Natal chart is to the current line up, via planets or angles, the more likely this week ‘s Full Moon Moon will affect you. Look at your chart’s Cardinal planets or houses in Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn in the last decan ( 20-29 degrees)
In the chart of our lunation the planetary aspects are telling. Moon conjoins wounded healer Chiron in Aries and opposes Sun/Juno in Libra. Both pairs square Mars and Pluto which are in opposition. This is a Grand Cross formation, which is especially dynamic. Its duel opposing styles force some kind of showdown or resolution. I promise all this agitation “aint for nothing” though. It’s a part of how we grow. Difficulty and challenge forces us to innovate and invent too. Pain requires attention and attention brings awareness of the need for balance, stasis, healing, etc. Jupiter makes the one point of help via a trine to Sun.. Though retrograde in Gemini, it points to an illumination or breakthrough in thinking or communication
Aries and Libra are the Me and We axis, so relationships of all kinds are up for a big reveal, this may be hurtful, as we ponder our feelings- where we have been done dirty or where we feel “othered.”
Social justice is highlighted too, and any kind of imbalance in the power dynamics at hand could make us feel unhinged, upset, or upside down. Things can come up or out now and we may be at “cross purposes” with others. Mars in Cancer opposing Pluto at it’s anaertiec degree is volcanic, and especially emotional. Tricky little things from our past, could make us react deeply, we may feel as if we are brimming over with feelings, we didn’t even know we had.
This Moon feels hard to me. It’s got a pressure and power similar to an eclipse ( though it is not). To get personal with you, I feel this strongly because like this particular Full Moon, I have a Grand Cross in my birth chart at similar degrees.
This natal position has filled with me with frustration and caused me to learn a great deal about how to resolve my inner issues. Right now, with the Moon/Chiron about to cross my IC and Sun on my Midheaven, I am confronting some deep inner wounding and dealing with my emotional responses. As a Capricorn with Capricorn Ascendant, a Moon in Cancer and Mars in Libra, I care deeply about choosing a measured and harmonious response to life’s inevitable ups and downs.
I suppose this is why, of all the divinatory arts Astrology has appealed to me the most. Monitoring the cosmos’s movements allows us plan for all kinds of energetic weather-so that we can best know what to wear to protect us, what gear to bring to assist us, and what mind set is best suited to achieve our goals.
Just sharing this with you all today has made me feel better.
My current gear includes a swimsuit to navigate the waves this week- and I won’t forget that when I get tired of swimming though the emotions , I can lay on my back and float. It’s inevitable that the tide will carry me (and YOU) back to shore.
Love,
Michelle
